Hello!

We are a husband and wife duo who have personally suffered the consequences of using toxic candles, wax melts, and body products which prompted researching the composition of these products. We soon learned why we were experiencing headaches, odd rashes, and irritation of the eyes and nose. A fresh lit candle was always an essential for creating serenity in our home, so we began hand pouring candles for our personal use. Our hobby and commitment to creating a cleaner, toxic-eliminating home soon gained interest from family and friends. We dreamed of having our own candle business but never truly took the leap of faith. After unexpected medical complications, God showed us the importance of living each day to the fullest and how He can do so much with so little. In 2022, we decided to take that leap of faith to chase our dreams and launched Simply Modern Scents.

All of our products are hand poured and handcrafted in small batches to ensure quality. Our product line includes coconut soy wax candles hand poured into luxurious glass jars with a crackling wood wick, coconut soy wax melts, reed diffusers, room sprays, and car fresheners.

We choose our raw materials with intentionality to ensure cleanliness while preserving optimal scent throw. Coconut soy wax is a cleaner and safer alternative to paraffin wax. Soy and coconut wax are both derived from natural and renewable resources, soybeans and hydrogenated coconut oil, which burn cleaner and slower than paraffin wax.
