How to set up your diffuser

Get your Simply Modern Scents diffuser paired and scenting your space in just a few minutes. Follow the steps below, then fine-tune the settings to your liking.

Download the app

Your diffuser is controlled with the free Scent Master Pro app on iPhone and iPad. Open the App Store, search “Scent Master Pro,” and install it before you begin.

Connect over Bluetooth

Plug in your diffuser and make sure it’s powered on.
On your iPhone, open Settings → Bluetooth and turn it on. When the app asks, allow Bluetooth access.
Open Scent Master Pro and tap Add Device (the + icon).
Select your diffuser when it appears in the list and wait for “Connected.”
Give it a name (like “Living Room”), and you’re ready to set your scent.

Tip: keep your phone within a few feet of the diffuser while pairing, and connect only one phone at a time.

Set your scent strength

A great starting point for most rooms:

Run time

140–200 sec

Pause

180 sec

A longer run time (closer to 200 seconds) gives a stronger scent; a shorter run time (closer to 140) is more subtle. Adjust run time first, then set your daily on/off schedule in the app.

Whole-home & HVAC setups

If your diffuser is connected to your HVAC system, set your thermostat fan to ON — not AUTO. This keeps air, and your scent, circulating evenly through every room. On AUTO the fan only runs while heating or cooling, so the scent won’t carry consistently.

Troubleshooting

The app can’t find my diffuser

Make sure the diffuser is plugged in and on, your phone’s Bluetooth is on, and you’re standing within a few feet of it. Only one phone can be connected at a time, so close the app on any other device first. Still nothing? Unplug the diffuser for about 10 seconds, plug it back in, and try again.

It keeps disconnecting

Check that Scent Master Pro has Bluetooth permission: iPhone Settings → Scent Master Pro → Bluetooth should be on. If it still drops, remove (forget) the device inside the app and add it again.

The scent is too strong or too light

Adjust the run time in the app — up for stronger, down for lighter — and lengthen the pause for a softer effect. Give the room about 30 minutes to settle before deciding.

Switching to a new scent

Let the diffuser run briefly with the old bottle removed before adding your new oil, so the two scents don’t blend. Use only Simply Modern Scents diffuser oil for the cleanest performance.
