This Privacy Policy describes how Simply Modern Scents LLC ("Simply Modern Scents," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you visit or make a purchase from simplymodernscents.com (the "Site").

  • Recharge, which manages our scent oil subscriptions
  • Shipping carriers (such as USPS and UPS) to deliver your order
  • Email and text-message marketing platforms, to send order updates and, with your consent, promotional messages
  • Sales channel and analytics partners such as Google, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), and TikTok, when you interact with our listings or ads on those platforms

We may also share information to comply with applicable laws, respond to lawful requests such as subpoenas, or otherwise protect our rights. We do not sell your personal information.

Text message opt-in data. The above excludes text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Advertising

We may use your information to show you ads or marketing we believe will interest you, including through advertising partners such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google, and TikTok. You can opt out of targeted advertising through Facebook ad settings, Google ad settings, or the Digital Advertising Alliance portal at optout.aboutads.info.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, and measure Site performance. Location Information

We do not collect precise or GPS-based location data, and we do not offer location-based services. We may infer your approximate location (such as country, state, or city) from your IP address to help screen for fraud, calculate applicable taxes, and display relevant content. You can limit IP-based location through your browser or network settings.

Data Security & Retention

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. When you place an order, we keep your order information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete it.

Children's Privacy

Our Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Text Messages

If you opt in to text messages from us, you consent to receive recurring automated marketing and order-update texts at the number provided. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply; reply STOP to unsubscribe and HELP for help.

We use the phone number you provide only to send the messages you have asked for and related order and shipping updates. We share it with our text-messaging provider solely to deliver these messages on our behalf, and we do not share it with any third parties for their own marketing.

Cart reminders. Our Site uses cookies to help keep track of items you put into your shopping cart, including when you have abandoned your cart. This information is used to determine when to send cart reminder messages — by email and, where you have opted in to texts, by text message.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or receive a copy of it. To make a request, email us at the address below and we will respond as required by applicable law, including the GDPR for European residents and the CCPA for California residents.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal and regulatory reasons.
