Refund & Return Policy

Because our products are handmade and many are scented or personal-care items, the following terms allow us to keep our prices fair while standing behind our work.

Returns. We accept returns on unopened, unused items in their original packaging within 10 days of delivery. To start a return, email Simplymodernscents@gmail.com with your order number.

Non-Returnable Items. For hygiene and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns on opened or used products, including candles, wax melts, scent oils, and diffusers once used. Sale, clearance, seconds, and custom or personalized items are final sale.

Return Shipping. Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility, and original shipping charges are non-refundable. Please use a trackable method — we cannot issue a refund for a return we do not receive.

Refunds. Once we receive and inspect your return, we will email you to confirm. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5 to 7 business days, less original shipping. Your bank may need additional time to post it.

Damaged or Lost in Transit. Once an order leaves our facility it is in the carrier’s hands. We are not responsible for damage, loss, or mishandling during shipping; please file a claim directly with the carrier. If we shipped the wrong item or made an error on our end, contact us within 7 days of delivery and we will make it right.

Diffusers & Electronics. Electric and whole-home diffusers are covered by our 1-Year Limited Warranty against manufacturing defects. Used units are not eligible for return, but defective units are handled through the warranty — see our Warranty page.
